Fastest Boiling Kettle and it’s Quiet

After spending almost a year researching and testing different kettles, I finally stumbled upon the Severin WK 3418 Kettle, my long-awaited solution.

One feature that drew me to the Severin 3418 Kettle was its Fast Boiling feature. I have never seen so much water boil so fast. It takes just over 4 minutes to reach boiling point when boiling a full 1.7 liters of water.

It has to be one of the fastest kettles I have come across to date. And if you use the fast boil feature, it will boil 1 cup (0.24 l) of water in less than 60 seconds.

Not only is it exceptional in speed, but this German designed kettle is whisper-quiet compared to most counterparts. 

You can hardly hear it boil, making it ideal for those of us who have young children, roommates, or prefer quiet mornings.

I found this kettle makes around half the noise of my old Phillips 2000 watt kettle.

The only thing I found that may annoy some people is the kettle beeps once when it turns on and three times when it has finished boiling the water. 

There is a fix for this which I won’t mention here, but a brief search online or in the product’s Amazon reviews will tell you how to stop this noise. If you are technically minded, then this will work for you, but remember it may void the warranty.

The steel is rust-free and is less prone to lime scale build-up. After 3 months of using the kettle, I have only seen a few specks of lime scale build-up. It has a lime scale filter that attaches in side the kettle near the easy pour spout.

It comes with 100% BPA-free material; your daily tea or coffee intake should not be tampered with, as you’re only as healthy as what you consume.

I have also noticed other valuable features, such as its large capacity of 1.7 L, which is great for when I am entertaining guests or for the family’s morning tea cooking.
